Baltic Institute of Corporate Governance is a non profit, non governmental initiative with strong involvement from the Baltic business and political leaders. 
Baltic Institute of Corporate Governance is leading the way in Baltic Corporate Governance by helping to create better governed public and private companies.

BICG as an association is governed by its members. The relationship between the Association’s members, the Board, the Council, management and other stakeholders is regulated in the bylaws of the Association.

BICG MISSION

Baltic Institute of Corporate Governance (BICG) pursues global class transparency and competitiveness of Baltic public, private and state or municipality owned companies through the promotion of leading corporate governance (CG) practices.

BICG VISION

BICG is the first name in corporate governance in the Baltic’s. As a non-governmental initiative BICG provides value to its stakeholders through leading CG education, development, promotion and networking.

BICG STRATEGY

BICG's strategy is to implement its mission and vision is through:


1. Offering top class CG education program to professional board members to enable them becoming board members of highest quality in the Baltic’s.


2. Developing and maintaining CG guidelines for the Baltic companies to promote best international CG practice in the region.


3. Establishing and maintaining an active network of members.


4. Provide practical value to the members based on sharing of good CG practices and attracting professional external/international speakers on CG topics.


5. Establishing close relationships with international bodies active in CG area as well as peer organizations in other countries to bring up-to-date knowledge and experience to the Baltic’s.


6. Promoting good CG principles actively in the media, to the Baltic governments and associated bodies.


7. Branding BICG as a mark of quality in CG matters, so that companies would seek such association to demonstrate their advancement in CG.


8. Raising awareness of the strong CG practices adopted in the Baltic countries internationally.


9. Monitoring board directorship positions in the Baltic’s and assisting professional board members to take these positions.


10. Advocating the Baltic governments and parliaments for alignment of the Baltic CG practices with the best international practice.

11. Advocating the Baltic governments, parliaments and municipalities for appointing professional independent directors in state or municipality controlled companies.
12. Holding an annual high profile Baltic CG event with recognition of achievements in CG.
